Japan Unveils Waterproof Paper Razor Made From Recycled Materials

Japanese company Kai has developed the world's first paper razor, named Paper Razor, to combat plastic waste. This innovative razor features a waterproof paper handle and a stainless steel blade, designed to be folded origami-style before use. Weighing just 4 grams and only 3mm thick, it aims to significantly reduce the 16 billion disposable razors discarded annually. The company spent two years developing the product, which sold out its initial set within three days of its 2021 launch in Japan.
