Gabe Newell's Windows 1.0 Secret Credit Inspires Yacht's Unique Design

Valve co-founder Gabe Newell, who worked on Windows 1.0 under Bill Gates, has incorporated a similar hidden credit system into his $500 million megayacht, Leviathan. Forty years ago, Newell's name was secretly embedded in a hidden screen within Windows 1.0, a project where he learned more in three months than at Harvard. Now, his 364-foot yacht features a sea lobby with nearly 3,000 engraved names of its builders, honoring their contributions. This unique design echoes the early Microsoft ethos of recognizing all team members involved in a project.
