The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration has suspended the licence of Café Mondegar in Colaba due to significant food-safety and hygiene violations found during a September 12 inspection. This action is part of a wider enforcement drive across Mumbai and Maharashtra targeting restaurants, dairies, and sellers of banned food products. Several other establishments also faced licence suspensions, fines, and seizures of goods, with a total of nine licences suspended and ₹20,000 in.
