Tamil Nadu Leader Urges State Govt to Secure Release of Confiscated Fishermen's Boats

Tamil Maanila Congress leader G.K. Vasan has urged the Tamil Nadu government to take immediate steps to secure the release of seven fishing boats confiscated by Andhra Pradesh officials on June 16. The confiscation has severely impacted the livelihood of Tamil Nadu fishermen. Vasan suggested that the state government should initiate talks with Andhra Pradesh to find a lasting solution. He also expressed hope for an all-party meeting on the Cauvery water issue and supported the government's move to approach the Supreme Court for the state's water share.

तमिल मनीला कांग्रेस के नेता जी.के. वासन ने तमिलनाडु सरकार से आंध्र प्रदेश के अधिकारियों द्वारा 16 जून को जब्त की गई सात मछली पकड़ने वाली नौकाओं को तुरंत छुड़ाने के लिए कदम उठाने का आग्रह किया है। इस जब्ती ने तमिलनाडु के मछुआरों की आजीविका को गंभीर रूप से प्रभावित किया है। वासन ने सुझाव दिया कि राज्य सरकार को एक स्थायी समाधान खोजने के लिए आंध्र प्रदेश के साथ बातचीत शुरू करनी चाहिए। उन्होंने कावेरी जल मुद्दे पर सर्वदलीय बैठक की भी उम्मीद जताई और राज्य के पानी के हिस्से के लिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट जाने के सरकार के कदम का समर्थन किया।
