The Keralam state cabinet has approved a new bill aimed at ensuring the care and protection of senior citizens. Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan stated that the bill, which provides a legal guarantee for elderly care, will be presented in the Assembly starting October 12. This proposed legislation is described as a revolutionary step, with Keralam being the first state in India to establish a dedicated department for the elderly.

केरल राज्य कैबिनेट ने वरिष्ठ नागरिकों की देखभाल और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के उद्देश्य से एक नए विधेयक को मंजूरी दे दी है। मुख्यमंत्री वी.डी. सतीसन ने कहा कि यह विधेयक, जो बुजुर्गों की देखभाल की कानूनी गारंटी प्रदान करता है, 12 अक्टूबर से शुरू होने वाले विधानसभा सत्र में पेश किया जाएगा। इस प्रस्तावित कानून को एक क्रांतिकारी कदम बताया जा रहा है, जिसमें केरल बुजुर्गों के लिए एक समर्पित विभाग स्थापित करने वाला भारत का पहला राज्य बन गया है।
