Shinzo Abe Memorial Corridor Opens in Varanasi; Widow Akie Abe Tears Up

A memorial corridor honouring former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his friendship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was inaugurated in Varanasi. Akie Abe, Shinzo Abe's widow, became emotional during the ceremony, expressing happiness at being invited. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated the corridor symbolises the strong India-Japan strategic, cultural, and diplomatic ties. The event also highlighted the significance of the Rudraksh Convention Centre, built with Japanese assistance, and featured photographs from Abe's 2015 visit to Varanasi with Modi.

पूर्व जापानी प्रधानमंत्री शिंजो आबे और भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की दोस्ती के सम्मान में वाराणसी में एक मेमोरियल कॉरिडोर का उद्घाटन किया गया। शिंजो आबे की पत्नी अकी आबे को आमंत्रित किए जाने पर खुशी व्यक्त करते हुए समारोह के दौरान वह भावुक हो गईं। उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि यह कॉरिडोर भारत-जापान के मजबूत रणनीतिक, सांस्कृतिक और राजनयिक संबंधों का प्रतीक है। इस कार्यक्रम में जापानी सहायता से बने रुद्राक्ष कन्वेंशन सेंटर के महत्व पर भी प्रकाश डाला गया और आबे की 2015 में मोदी के साथ वाराणसी की यात्रा की तस्वीरें भी प्रदर्शित की गईं।
