BJP Councillor R Sreelekha Resigns From Thiruvananthapuram Corporation

Retired DGP and BJP councillor R Sreelekha has reportedly resigned from the Thiruvananthapuram corporation, citing personal inconveniences. Mayor VV Rajesh confirmed receiving her resignation letter and is attempting to resolve the issue amicably. However, the corporation secretary stated Sreelekha's resignation is not legally valid as it was not submitted to him, the only authorised official. The LDF, which lost power in the corporation last year after 45 years, is closely monitoring the situation and may act if a governance crisis emerges.

सेवानिवृत्त डीजीपी और बीजेपी पार्षद आर श्रीलेखा ने कथित तौर पर व्यक्तिगत असुविधाओं का हवाला देते हुए तिरुवनंतपुरम निगम से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। मेयर वीवी राजेश ने उनके इस्तीफे का पत्र मिलने की पुष्टि की है और मामले को सौहार्दपूर्ण ढंग से सुलझाने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं। हालांकि, निगम सचिव ने कहा कि श्रीलेखा का इस्तीफा कानूनी रूप से मान्य नहीं है क्योंकि यह उन्हें, जो एकमात्र अधिकृत अधिकारी हैं, नहीं सौंपा गया था। पिछले साल 45 साल बाद निगम में सत्ता गंवाने वाले एलडीएफ स्थिति पर करीब से नजर रख रहा है और अगर शासन संकट उभरता है तो कार्रवाई कर सकता है।
