Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah reportedly felt uncomfortable filming romantic scenes with actress Sonam in the 1989 film Tridev, as she was younger than his own daughter. Director Rajiv Rai shared that Shah mentioned Sonam was even younger than his daughter Heeba Shah. Rai encouraged Shah to treat the dance sequence as acting, which helped him relax. Sonam, however, was eager to work with the acclaimed actor and expressed no concerns about the age difference.
