Dead Lizard Found in Mid-Day Meal; 64 Students Hospitalized in Churu

Sixty-four students in Churu district, Rajasthan, were hospitalized after consuming a mid-day meal containing a dead lizard. The incident occurred at a government school in Surwas village, where students were served vegetable curry and chapatis. Shortly after eating, many students reported vomiting and stomach pain. While most were discharged, three remained under observation. Health officials have collected food and water samples for testing, and the district administration has promised to fix responsibility for the hygiene lapse.
