Case Registered Against Former Minister Sekarbabu, MP Kalanidhi Veeraswamy and Eight Others

Vepery police in Chennai have registered a case against former minister P K Sekarbabu, DMK MP Kalanidhi Veeraswamy, and eight others. They are accused of obstructing police personnel and verbally abusing them at the Chennai Police Commissioner’s Office. The incident occurred during the arrest of former school education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi in a ₹100 crore bribery case. Sekarbabu questioned the police officers, asking if they were conducting a kangaroo court. DMK supporters also gathered and obstructed police vehicles at the hospital and court premises.

चेन्नई में वेपेरी पुलिस ने पूर्व मंत्री पी के सेकरबाबू, डीएमके सांसद कलानिधि वीरस्वामी और आठ अन्य के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है। उन पर चेन्नई पुलिस कमिश्नर कार्यालय में पुलिस कर्मियों को रोकने और उनके साथ गाली-गलौज करने का आरोप है। यह घटना ₹100 करोड़ के रिश्वत मामले में पूर्व स्कूल शिक्षा मंत्री अनबिल महेश पोय्यमोझी की गिरफ्तारी के दौरान हुई। सेकरबाबू ने पुलिस अधिकारियों से सवाल किया कि क्या वे तदर्थ अदालत चला रहे हैं। डीएमके समर्थकों ने अस्पताल और अदालत परिसर में भी हंगामा किया और पुलिस वाहनों को रोका।
