Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome to strengthen India-Italy industrial and economic ties. This meeting follows a significant business deal where Tata Motors acquired an 89.42% stake in Italian vehicle manufacturer Iveco Group. The transaction, valued at approximately 3.43 billion euros (around ₹36,000 crore), is expected to boost cooperation in the automobile and manufacturing sectors. This partnership aims to create one of the world's largest commercial vehicle manufacturers, leveraging combined technological and manufacturing capabilities.
