Lucknow Building Evacuated After Pillar Cracks

Twenty-five families were evacuated from SA Apartment in Lucknow's Wazirganj after a pillar developed cracks, threatening collapse. The building, sanctioned for three floors plus a stilt, was illegally expanded to six floors. LDA had previously issued a notice in 2020 regarding violations on the sixth floor but the property was not sealed. LDA officials are now working to stabilize the structure and will recover costs from the owner. A structural assessment is pending to determine if the extra construction caused the cracks.

लखनऊ के वज़ीरगंज में SA Apartment की बिल्डिंग से 25 परिवारों को बाहर निकाला गया है। एक पिलर में दरारें आ गई हैं, जिससे बिल्डिंग गिरने का खतरा है। इस बिल्डिंग को तीन मंज़िल और स्टिल्ट के लिए मंज़ूरी मिली थी, लेकिन इसे गैर-कानूनी तरीके से छह मंज़िल तक बना दिया गया था। LDA ने 2020 में छठी मंज़िल पर नियमों के उल्लंघन को लेकर नोटिस दिया था, लेकिन प्रॉपर्टी को सील नहीं किया गया था। LDA के अधिकारी अब बिल्डिंग को ठीक करने का काम कर रहे हैं और इसका खर्च मालिक से वसूलेंगे। यह पता लगाने के लिए कि क्या अतिरिक्त निर्माण की वजह से दरारें आई हैं, एक स्ट्रक्चरल असेसमेंट किया जाएगा।
