North India Braces For Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms; Delhi Alert Issued

IMD has forecast heavy rainfall in parts of North India, including Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh, on October 12. The region can expect thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds gusting up to 60 km/h between October 12 and 15. Similar weather is predicted for Kerala and Tamil Nadu from October 16-17. Meanwhile, the monsoon is expected to withdraw further from eastern and northeastern India, bringing more stability but retaining the risk of localized heavy showers and winds.

IMD ने 12 अक्टूबर को हरियाणा, चंडीगढ़, दिल्ली, पंजाब और हिमाचल प्रदेश सहित उत्तर भारत के कुछ हिस्सों में भारी बारिश की भविष्यवाणी की है। 12 से 15 अक्टूबर के बीच इस क्षेत्र में गरज, बिजली और 60 किमी/घंटा तक तेज हवाएं चलने की उम्मीद है। 16-17 अक्टूबर को केरल और तमिलनाडु के लिए भी इसी तरह के मौसम की भविष्यवाणी की गई है। इस बीच, मानसून के पूर्वी और पूर्वोत्तर भारत से और पीछे हटने की उम्मीद है, जिससे अधिक स्थिरता आएगी लेकिन स्थानीय भारी बारिश और हवाओं का खतरा बना रहेगा।
