SC to Hear Plea on Confiscating Exam Offenders'

The Supreme Court will hear a plea in six weeks seeking to confiscate the property of individuals involved in exam paper leak cases. The plea also targets family members of the offenders. The apex court had previously sought responses from the Centre and state governments on the matter. Advocate Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay filed the petition, highlighting the severe impact of paper leaks on students' fundamental rights and well-being. The proposed confiscation aims to deter future incidents and address the trauma and loss faced by affected students.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट छह हफ़्तों में परीक्षा पेपर लीक में शामिल लोगों की संपत्ति ज़ब्त करने की याचिका पर सुनवाई करेगा। याचिका में अपराधियों के परिवार वालों को भी निशाना बनाया गया है। कोर्ट ने पहले केंद्र और राज्य सरकारों से जवाब मांगा था। वकील अश्विनी कुमार उपाध्याय ने यह याचिका दायर की है, जिसमें छात्रों के मौलिक अधिकारों पर पेपर लीक के गंभीर असर को बताया गया है। इसका मकसद भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं को रोकना है।
