Sri Lanka Easter Bombings: 15 Guilty Verdict

Fifteen individuals have been found guilty in connection with the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka. A three-judge bench convicted 14 defendants on charges including murder and conspiracy to commit terrorism, with one additional person found guilty on some charges. Nine others were acquitted. The attacks, which struck churches and hotels, killed 279 people and injured at least 450. Sentencing for the guilty parties will be delivered later.

श्रीलंका में 2019 ईस्टर संडे बम धमाकों के मामले में पंद्रह लोगों को दोषी पाया गया है। तीन जजों की बेंच ने 14 लोगों को हत्या और आतंकवाद की साजिश रचने जैसे आरोपों में दोषी ठहराया, जबकि एक अन्य व्यक्ति को कुछ आरोपों में दोषी पाया गया। नौ लोगों को बरी कर दिया गया। चर्चों और होटलों को निशाना बनाने वाले इन हमलों में 279 लोग मारे गए थे और 450 से ज़्यादा घायल हुए थे। दोषियों की सज़ा का ऐलान बाद में होगा।
