Maharashtra's revenue department has introduced new rules to prevent fraud in property transactions involving jointly owned land. Sellers must now provide either an official land measurement copy, known as 'Form C', or written consent from all other co-owners for the sale of their share. This decision, instructed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and taken by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, aims to increase transparency and reduce disputes. Previously, disputes often arose when one co-owner sold their share without informing others, leading to numerous court cases.

महाराष्ट्र के राजस्व विभाग ने संयुक्त रूप से स्वामित्व वाली जमीन के प्रॉपर्टी सौदों में धोखाधड़ी को रोकने के लिए नए नियम पेश किए हैं। अब विक्रेताओं को अपनी हिस्सेदारी बेचने के लिए या तो 'फॉर्म सी' के रूप में जानी जाने वाली आधिकारिक जमीन मापी की कॉपी देनी होगी, या फिर अन्य सभी सह-मालिकों से लिखित सहमति लेनी होगी। मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस के निर्देश पर और राजस्व मंत्री चंद्रशेखर बावनकुले द्वारा लिए गए इस फैसले का उद्देश्य पारदर्शिता बढ़ाना और विवादों को कम करना है। पहले, जब कोई सह-मालिक दूसरों को सूचित किए बिना अपनी हिस्सेदारी बेच देता था, तो अक्सर विवाद उत्पन्न होते थे, जिससे कई अदालती मामले सामने आते थे।
