An Afghan woman, Nazira Haji Zada, 47, has been deported from the US in the first-ever use of the secretive Alien Terrorist Removal Court. She chose to leave rather than continue arguing her case, which her lawyers claimed violated due process. Prosecutors accused her of being the "matriarch" of a group her son and son-in-law were convicted of plotting a mass shooting. The DOJ stated this removal is a win for national security.
