RAF Hawk Jet Crashes Near Wales Airbase

A Royal Air Force Hawk T2 training jet crashed near RAF Valley in north Wales on Wednesday shortly after takeoff. Both pilots ejected safely and were treated for minor injuries. The aircraft was reportedly descending steeply before impacting the ground and exploding. An investigation into the incident is underway. As a precautionary measure, the RAF has temporarily paused operations of Hawk T1 and T2 aircraft, which are crucial for fast-jet pilot training.
