Ludhiana ISBT Foot Overbridge Project Stalled Over Land Acquisition

A ₹2-crore foot overbridge project outside ISBT has been stalled for over a year due to shopkeepers' objections to land acquisition. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has approached the district administration to resolve the land issue, which is preventing the construction of the facility meant to ensure passenger safety. Commuters currently face difficulties crossing the busy road, often navigating traffic and metal railings. The project, announced in 2025, remains on hold until a solution for the required space is found.

ISBT के बाहर ₹2 करोड़ का फुट ओवरब्रिज प्रोजेक्ट एक साल से ज़्यादा समय से अटका हुआ है क्योंकि दुकानदार ज़मीन अधिग्रहण का विरोध कर रहे हैं। नेशनल हाईवे अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया (NHAI) ने ज़िला प्रशासन से ज़मीन के मुद्दे को सुलझाने के लिए संपर्क किया है, जो यात्रियों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने वाली सुविधा के निर्माण में बाधा डाल रहा है। यात्रियों को फिलहाल व्यस्त सड़क पार करने में दिक्कतें आ रही हैं, और वे अक्सर ट्रैफिक और लोहे की रेलिंग से बचते हुए रास्ता बनाते हैं। 2025 में घोषित यह प्रोजेक्ट तब तक रुका रहेगा जब तक ज़रूरी जगह का समाधान नहीं मिल जाता।
