कांग्रेस नेता जयराम रमेश ने बताया कि पिछले चार दिनों में पार्टी ने पूरे देश में 17 प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस की हैं। उन्होंने जातिगत जनगणना सही तरीके से कराने की मांग दोहराई। कांग्रेस का मानना है कि समान प्रतिनिधित्व और संसाधनों के बँटवारे के लिए जातिगत जनगणना बहुत ज़रूरी है। पार्टी का आरोप है कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की सरकार इसमें बाधा डाल रही है।
