Scientists have discovered evidence suggesting that Earth's core continues to release gases like hydrogen and helium, along with heavier elements such as tungsten. This phenomenon is linked to the planet's formation billions of years ago when it was a molten mass. As Earth cooled, denser materials settled to form the core, while lighter elements created the mantle and crust. The ongoing leakage indicates that processes within the planet's deep interior are still active and influencing its composition.
