GSAT-7C Satellite Deal Boosts Indian Air Force Network Capabilities

The Indian Air Force will enhance its network-centric warfare capabilities with the acquisition of the indigenously developed GSAT-7C communications satellite. This Rs 2,563 crore deal with NewSpace India Limited aims to provide more secure and resilient communications, strengthening the network that connects aircraft, radars, and command centres for real-time information sharing and coordinated operations. Unlike conventional radios, GSAT-7C supports software-defined radios, allowing for flexible communication modes and updates.

भारतीय वायु सेना स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित GSAT-7C संचार उपग्रह के अधिग्रहण से अपनी नेटवर्क-केंद्रित युद्ध क्षमताओं को बढ़ाएगी। NewSpace India Limited के साथ 2,563 करोड़ रुपये का यह सौदा अधिक सुरक्षित और लचीला संचार प्रदान करने का लक्ष्य रखता है, जिससे वास्तविक समय में सूचना साझा करने और समन्वित अभियानों के लिए विमानों, रडारों और कमांड सेंटरों को जोड़ने वाले नेटवर्क को मजबूती मिलेगी। पारंपरिक रेडियो के विपरीत, GSAT-7C सॉफ्टवेयर-डिफाइंड रेडियो का समर्थन करता है, जिससे संचार के लचीले तरीके और अपडेट संभव हो पाते हैं।
