Finance Ministry Invites Comments on Amended GST Return Forms from Nov 1
Business Standard · business
The Finance Ministry will begin accepting public comments on proposed changes to monthly GST return forms starting November 1. These amendments, approved by the 57th GST Council meeting, aim to improve reconciliation between GSTR-1/1A/IFF and GSTR-3B, thereby reducing mismatches and subsequent notices. The amended forms will be available for consultation on the 'MyGov' portal until November 30. Businesses can expect these new forms to be implemented from April 1, 2027. The department also plans to streamline the GST audit process to ensure taxpayers face no harassment.
