Karnataka Minister M.B. Patil has vowed to ensure no eligible voter is disenfranchised in Vijayapura district. He alleged that voter names are being illegally removed across several states under the guise of the SIR process. Patil stated that if false objections are found, legal action will be initiated against objectors. He specifically cited the Babaleshwar constituency, where 1,564 applications were submitted by just seven individuals, raising suspicions of vote theft targeting Muslim voters.

कर्नाटक के मंत्री एम.बी. पाटिल ने विजयपुरा जिले में किसी भी योग्य मतदाता को वोट देने से वंचित नहीं रहने देने का संकल्प लिया है। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि SIR प्रक्रिया की आड़ में कई राज्यों में अवैध रूप से मतदाताओं के नाम हटाए जा रहे हैं। पाटिल ने कहा कि यदि झूठे आपत्तियां पाई गईं, तो आपत्ति जताने वालों के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। उन्होंने विशेष रूप से बबलेश्वर निर्वाचन क्षेत्र का उल्लेख किया, जहां सिर्फ सात व्यक्तियों द्वारा 1,564 आवेदन जमा किए गए, जिससे मुस्लिम मतदाताओं को निशाना बनाकर वोट की चोरी के संदेह पैदा हो गए।
