India's Ministry of Communications has refuted Elon Musk's claims that "certain oligarchs" are blocking Starlink's satellite internet services in the country. Musk alleged that unnamed individuals were maintaining a "monopolistic chokehold" and called the situation a "crime against the people of India." The ministry stated that its approval process is fair and non-discriminatory, with three entities undergoing similar security assessments. Starlink has been seeking commercial operating licenses in India since 2022, facing security concerns after its devices were found in drug and army operations.
