High Court Overturns Speaker's Disqualification Ruling

The Telangana High Court has disqualified Danam Nagender as an MLA, observing that the Assembly Speaker's decision violated constitutional mandates. The court found the Speaker's reasoning, that contesting a Lok Sabha election on a different party's ticket while being an MLA of another party was not prohibited, to be legally perverse. The bench noted that the MLA admitted to being elected on a BRS ticket and then campaigning against BRS.

हाई कोर्ट ने स्पीकर के अयोग्यता फैसले को पलटा

तेलंगाना हाई कोर्ट ने दानम नागेंद्र को MLA पद से अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया है। कोर्ट ने कहा कि स्पीकर का फैसला संविधान के खिलाफ था। स्पीकर ने कहा था कि दूसरी पार्टी के टिकट पर लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ना मना नहीं है, लेकिन कोर्ट ने इसे गलत माना। MLA ने माना कि वे BRS के टिकट पर चुने गए थे और फिर उसी पार्टी के खिलाफ प्रचार किया।
