MahaREAT Orders Full Refund For Dubai Buyer

A Dubai-based Indian homebuyer has won a significant refund from a Mumbai builder after delayed possession of two flats. The Maharashtra Real Estate Appellate Tribunal (MahREAT) ordered the builder to refund the full Rs 1.15 crore paid by the buyer, plus interest. The builder had initially sought deductions, including 10% of the purchase price as damages and monthly interest, citing clauses in the allotment letters.

दुबई के एक भारतीय खरीदार को मुंबई के एक बिल्डर से बड़ी रकम वापस मिली है। बिल्डर ने दो फ्लैटों का कब्ज़ा देने में देरी कर दी थी। महाराष्ट्र रियल एस्टेट अपीलेट ट्रिब्यूनल (MahREAT) ने बिल्डर को खरीदार को दिए गए पूरे 1.15 करोड़ रुपये ब्याज सहित वापस करने का आदेश दिया है। बिल्डर ने शुरू में खरीदार से कुछ कटौती करने की कोशिश की थी।
