Ranchi Municipal Corporation to Assess Undervalued Govt Properties for Tax Revenue

RMC is set to assess government buildings and premises with undetermined holding tax to boost its revenue. Municipal Commissioner Sushant Gaurav has directed officials to measure these properties, generate tax demands, and issue notices. The civic body also reviewed property tax, water, and solid waste charges collection, having gathered approximately Rs 62 crore so far this financial year. RMC is organizing property tax collection camps and pursuing major defaulters, including commercial establishments, while also promoting online payment options via its website and WhatsApp chatbot.

रांची नगर निगम (RMC) होल्डिंग टैक्स के तहत सरकारी इमारतों और परिसरों का मूल्यांकन करके अपनी आमदनी बढ़ाने की तैयारी में है। नगर आयुक्त सुशांत गौरव ने अधिकारियों को इन संपत्तियों को मापने, टैक्स की मांग तैयार करने और नोटिस जारी करने का निर्देश दिया है। निकाय ने संपत्ति कर, पानी और ठोस कचरा शुल्क की वसूली की भी समीक्षा की, इस वित्तीय वर्ष में अब तक लगभग 62 करोड़ रुपये एकत्र किए हैं। RMC संपत्ति कर संग्रह शिविरों का आयोजन कर रहा है और प्रमुख बकायेदारों, जिनमें वाणिज्यिक प्रतिष्ठान भी शामिल हैं, का पीछा कर रहा है, साथ ही अपनी वेबसाइट और व्हाट्सएप चैटबॉट के माध्यम से ऑनलाइन भुगतान के विकल्प भी बढ़ावा दे रहा है।
