Abusive Language Not Obscenity Under Law: SC

The Supreme Court has clarified that abusive language and mere swear words do not constitute obscenity under the law. The court emphasized that for an act to be considered obscene, it must possess a lascivious element appealing to prurient interests and cause annoyance to others in public places.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने साफ कर दिया है कि सिर्फ गालियां देना या अभद्र भाषा का इस्तेमाल करना कानून के तहत अश्लीलता नहीं माना जाएगा। कोर्ट ने कहा कि किसी भी काम को अश्लील कहने के लिए उसमें वासनापूर्ण तत्व होना चाहिए जो लोगों की कामुक इच्छाओं को भड़काए और सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर दूसरों को परेशान करे।
