Telangana CM Prepares For Talks On Tummidihatti Barrage With Maharashtra

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to prepare for crucial inter-state talks with Maharashtra on the Tummidihatti barrage project. The project is vital for irrigation in the tribal-dominated undivided Adilabad region. Officials briefed the CM on diverting water to the Yellampalli project with a 152-metre barrage height, which would submerge around 2,300 acres. The CM stressed the project's importance for nearly two lakh acres and directed officials to assess submergence impacts and prepare comprehensive proposals.

तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री ए रेवंत रेड्डी ने अधिकारियों को तुम्मीडीहट्टी बैराज परियोजना पर महाराष्ट्र के साथ महत्वपूर्ण अंतर-राज्यीय वार्ता की तैयारी करने का निर्देश दिया है। यह परियोजना आदिवासी-बहुल अविभाजित आदिलाबाद क्षेत्र में सिंचाई के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है। अधिकारियों ने सीएम को 152 मीटर की बैराज ऊंचाई के साथ येलमपल्ली परियोजना में पानी मोड़ने के बारे में जानकारी दी, जिससे लगभग 2,300 एकड़ क्षेत्र डूब जाएगा। सीएम ने लगभग दो लाख एकड़ के लिए परियोजना के महत्व पर जोर दिया और अधिकारियों को जलमग्नता के प्रभावों का आकलन करने और व्यापक प्रस्ताव तैयार करने का निर्देश दिया।
