MP Alleges Phone Use in Beed Jail; Authorities Reject Claims, Cite CCTV

Beed MP Bajrang Sonwane has alleged that political conspiracies are being hatched from behind bars in Beed District Jail, with inmates rampantly using mobile phones. He claimed Walmik Karad, an accused in a murder case, was making calls from prison to frame his son. However, prison authorities have strongly rejected these allegations as baseless. They cited two prior high-level inquiries that found no irregularities and highlighted extensive CCTV surveillance, including 8 to 12 cameras monitoring Karad's barrack. Officials stated that with 50-55 inmates per barrack, unauthorized calls are practically impossible.

बीड़ के सांसद बजरंग सोनवणे ने आरोप लगाया है कि बीड़ जिला जेल के अंदर से राजनीतिक साजिशें रची जा रही हैं, और कैदी बेतहाशा मोबाइल फोन का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने दावा किया कि हत्या के मामले में आरोपी वाल्मीक कराड जेल से फोन करके अपने बेटे को फंसाने की कोशिश कर रहा था। हालांकि, जेल अधिकारियों ने इन आरोपों को सिरे से खारिज कर दिया है और इन्हें निराधार बताया है। उन्होंने दो पिछली उच्च-स्तरीय जांचों का हवाला दिया, जिनमें कोई अनियमितता नहीं पाई गई थी, और कराड की बैरक की निगरानी करने वाले 8 से 12 कैमरों सहित व्यापक CCTV निगरानी पर प्रकाश डाला।
