The gang operated nationwide, befriending victims by promising marriage and then extorting money through various pretexts. They used fake identities and profiles to ensnare unsuspecting individuals. मध्य प्रदेश पुलिस ने एक अंतरराज्यीय साइबर धोखाधड़ी गिरोह का भंडाफोड़ किया है, जिसने मैट्रिमोनियल साइट्स का इस्तेमाल करके लोगों से 11 करोड़ रुपये से ज़्यादा की ठगी की। कथित सरगना समेत छह सदस्यों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। यह गिरोह देशभर में काम कर रहा था, पीड़ितों से शादी का वादा करके दोस्ती करता था और फिर विभिन्न बहाने बनाकर पैसे ऐंठता था। उन्होंने भोले-भाले लोगों को फंसाने के लिए नकली पहचान और प्रोफाइल का इस्तेमाल किया। इस कार्रवाई से ऑनलाइन वित्तीय घोटालों के बढ़ते खतरे को उजागर किया गया है जो कमजोर नागरिकों को निशाना बना रहे हैं।
