चुनाव आयोग ने तेलंगाना, हरियाणा और आंध्र प्रदेश समेत छह राज्यों में मतदाता सूची संशोधन का नया कार्यक्रम जारी किया है। ड्राफ्ट प्रकाशन की तारीखें बदल दी गई हैं, और ज्यादातर जगहों पर अंतिम मतदाता सूची अक्टूबर तक आ जाएगी। यह ज़रूरी काम नए योग्य मतदाताओं को जोड़कर और मृत या अयोग्य लोगों को हटाकर मतदाता सूची को सही रखता है, जिससे चुनाव प्रक्रिया निष्पक्ष बनी रहती है।
