बिहार की जनता दल (यूनाइटेड) पार्टी ने मोकामा के विधायक अनंत सिंह के खिलाफ बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए उन्हें छह साल के लिए पार्टी से निकाल दिया है। उनकी प्राथमिक सदस्यता भी तुरंत रद्द कर दी गई है। पार्टी ने पूर्व विधायक नीलम देवी को भी छह साल के लिए निष्कासित कर दिया है। यह कार्रवाई इस आरोप के कारण हुई है कि सिंह ने विधान परिषद चुनावों में पार्टी के उम्मीदवार के खिलाफ काम किया और विरोधी दल के उम्मीदवार के लिए प्रचार किया। उन पर पार्टी के निर्देशों की लगातार अवहेलना करने का भी आरोप है। यह निष्कासन जदयू के भीतर कड़े अनुशासनात्मक उपायों को दर्शाता है।
