The Election Commission has ordered the suspension of two electoral registration officers in Uttar Pradesh and directed FIRs to be filed against them due to irregularities in the Pilibhit Sadar constituency's voter rolls. This action follows allegations by the Congress that over 13,000 voter names were replaced. An investigation found a computer assistant processed numerous Form 8 applications for corrections without supporting physical documents. The commission has also instructed a review of voter lists across Uttar Pradesh, particularly concerning additions, deletions, and modifications.
