भारतीय चिकित्सा अनुसंधान परिषद (ICMR) ने तीन स्वदेशी बायोमेडिकल टेक्नोलॉजीज़ को भारतीय दवा और वैक्सीन बनाने वाली कंपनियों को लाइसेंस दिया है। यह कदम 'मेडिकल इनोवेशन पेटेंट मित्रा' प्रोग्राम के तहत उठाया गया है। इसका मकसद कैंसर और संक्रामक रोगों के इलाज में नई खोजों को बढ़ावा देना है। इन टेक्नोलॉजीज़ को ट्रांसफर करके, ICMR देश में ही नवाचार को बढ़ावा दे रहा है और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को बेहतर व सुलभ बनाने में मदद कर रहा है।
