MSME Body Seeks Handholding Support for Indian Exporters Amidst New FTAs

The MSME body Laghu Udyog Bharati has called for increased handholding and support systems for small and medium enterprises to benefit from new Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). While FTAs offer new export markets, navigating them is challenging for smaller firms compared to larger corporations. The body highlighted that big players will gain immediate advantages, while MSMEs require more connections, marketing schemes, and support to compete effectively. They also requested extending production-linked incentives to smaller players and improving mandatory training for ITI trainees.

एमएसएमई बॉडी लघु उद्योग भारती ने छोटे और मध्यम उद्यमों के लिए नए मुक्त व्यापार समझौतों (एफटीए) से लाभ उठाने हेतु अधिक सहायता और समर्थन प्रणालियों की मांग की है। जबकि एफटीए नए निर्यात बाजार प्रदान करते हैं, बड़ी कंपनियों की तुलना में छोटी फर्मों के लिए इन्हें नेविगेट करना चुनौतीपूर्ण है। बॉडी ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि बड़े खिलाड़ी तत्काल लाभ उठाएंगे, जबकि एमएसएमई को प्रभावी ढंग से प्रतिस्पर्धा करने के लिए अधिक कनेक्शन, विपणन योजनाओं और समर्थन की आवश्यकता होगी। उन्होंने छोटे खिलाड़ियों के लिए उत्पादन-लिंक्ड प्रोत्साहन (पीएलआई) का विस्तार करने और आईटीआई प्रशिक्षुओं के लिए अनिवार्य प्रशिक्षण में सुधार का भी अनुरोध किया।
