Alexander Zverev has achieved the world No. 1 ranking in men's tennis, becoming the oldest first-time top-ranked player in over five decades. The 29-year-old German secured this milestone after a dominant season, including winning his second Grand Slam title at the French Open and the US Open. This achievement ends the 'underachiever' label he previously carried. Zverev is only the second German man to reach the top spot, following Boris Becker. He will play his first event as No. 1 at the Paris Masters.
