India is advancing its electromagnetic launcher capabilities with Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi seeking partners for key components of an Electromagnetic Launcher system. This initiative aims to transition the technology from laboratory research to industrial-scale development. The project involves designing and supplying EM launch barrel assemblies, electrical accessories, and platform drives. Unlike conventional artillery, railguns use electrical energy to propel projectiles at high speeds, offering potential for naval strike, anti-ship warfare, and air defence roles.

भारत अपनी इलेक्ट्रोमैग्नेटिक लॉन्चर क्षमताएं बढ़ा रहा है। हेवी व्हीकल्स फैक्ट्री, अवडी इसके मुख्य पुर्जों के लिए पार्टनर ढूंढ रही है। यह प्रोजेक्ट लैब रिसर्च से इंडस्ट्रियल डेवलपमेंट की ओर ले जाएगा। इसमें EM लॉन्च बैरल असेंबली, इलेक्ट्रिकल एक्सेसरीज और प्लेटफॉर्म ड्राइव्स का डिज़ाइन और सप्लाई शामिल है। रेलगन पारंपरिक तोपों से अलग, बिजली से गोलियां तेज गति से दागती हैं, जो नौसेना के हमलों और हवाई सुरक्षा में काम आ सकती हैं।
