A delegation of the Bangiya Christiya Pariseba (BCP), representing Christians in West Bengal, met senior RSS leader Jishnu Saha on Wednesday to discuss recent mob attacks on congregations and churches. The BCP highlighted concerns over vandalism and persecution against churches and believers over the past 4-5 months, often fueled by false conversion allegations. Mr. Saha acknowledged the need for dialogue but also stated genuine concerns about forced conversions, calling for investigations into both attacks and allegations. The BCP clarified that the Church opposes unlawful conversions, accepting only willing converts.
