CIL, HURL Pact For Urea Production In Jharkhand

Coal India Ltd (CIL) and Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to explore the feasibility of producing urea through syngas in Sindri, Jharkhand. This initiative focuses on coal gasification as a method to produce syngas, aiming to reduce India's reliance on imported natural gas for fertiliser production. The pact will initially assess the project's technical, commercial, and execution aspects. This move aligns with the Centre's push for coal gasification and supports the goal of achieving greater self-sufficiency.

और Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) ने झारखंड के सिंदरी में सिनगैस के ज़रिए यूरिया उत्पादन की संभावना तलाशने के लिए एक गैर-बाध्यकारी समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। इस पहल का मक़सद कोयला गैसीकरण को सिनगैस बनाने का तरीका इस्तेमाल करना है, ताकि उर्वरक उत्पादन के लिए आयातित प्राकृतिक गैस पर भारत की निर्भरता कम की जा सके। यह समझौता शुरू में प्रोजेक्ट के तकनीकी, व्यावसायिक और निष्पादन पहलुओं का मूल्यांकन करेगा। यह कदम केंद्र के कोयला गैसीकरण को बढ़ावा देने के प्रयासों के अनुरूप है और आत्मनिर्भरता बढ़ाने के लक्ष्य का समर्थन करता है।
