Uttar Pradesh Housing Board Scraps Betterment Fee Near Colonies

The Uttar Pradesh Housing Board has eliminated the betterment fee and the need for a no-objection certificate (NOC) for development within 500 metres of its housing colonies. This decision, effective immediately, aims to reduce costs and expedite projects for developers in areas like Vasundhara and Sidharth Vihar in Ghaziabad. Previously, landowners and developers had to pay this fee and obtain an NOC from the board before submitting layout plans to the GDA.
