Heavy monsoon rains have caused widespread disruption across Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat as the season nears its end. In Madhya Pradesh, the Mandakini river in Chitrakoot is flowing above the danger mark, with Chhatarpur facing flood-like conditions. Uttar Pradesh reported a death due to a house collapse in Hamirpur, while Lucknow's posh colonies are submerged after three days of continuous rain, crippling the drainage system. Gujarat's Surat saw a large banyan tree fall, damaging vehicles and shops.
