Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway Toll Suspension Continues Pending Quality Audit

Toll collection on the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway remains suspended as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) awaits a satisfactory quality audit. The expressway, inaugurated in July, faced issues with potholes and damaged stretches shortly after opening, prompting NHAI to suspend toll collection on August 5. A technical assessment is underway, with strength and pavement audits planned. NHAI has engaged IIT Kharagpur experts to investigate the damage and recommend solutions. Toll collection is unlikely to resume for at least another week, pending inspection findings and NHAI approval.

लखनऊ-कानपुर एक्सप्रेसवे पर टोल वसूली अभी भी रुकी हुई है क्योंकि भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (NHAI) एक संतोषजनक क्वालिटी ऑडिट का इंतजार कर रहा है। जुलाई में उद्घाटन किए गए इस एक्सप्रेसवे में खुलने के कुछ ही समय बाद गड्ढों और क्षतिग्रस्त हिस्सों की समस्याएँ सामने आई थीं, जिसके चलते NHAI ने 5 अगस्त को टोल वसूली निलंबित कर दी थी। एक तकनीकी मूल्यांकन चल रहा है, जिसमें स्ट्रेंथ और पेमेंट ऑडिट की योजना है। NHAI ने क्षति की जांच करने और समाधान सुझाने के लिए IIT Kharagpur के विशेषज्ञों को नियुक्त किया है। निरीक्षण के निष्कर्षों और NHAI की मंजूरी के लंबित रहने के कारण टोल वसूली में कम से कम एक और सप्ताह लगने की संभावना है।
