Chandigarh's Natural History Museum is slated for a significant upgrade, with the UT administration submitting a project report of nearly Rs 30 crore for modernisation. The proposal, submitted under the Centre’s Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme, aims to enhance visitor experience through immersive displays and interactive exhibits. Key features include holographic reconstructions of early humans, a 7D evolution experience, and updated dinosaur exhibits. The museum, originally opened in 1973, will retain its core themes while incorporating the latest technology and research findings to make it more engaging and informative.

चंडीगढ़ का नेचुरल हिस्ट्री म्यूजियम बड़े अपग्रेड के लिए तैयार है। यूटी प्रशासन ने आधुनिकीकरण के लिए लगभग 30 करोड़ रुपये की एक प्रोजेक्ट रिपोर्ट जमा की है। केंद्र की 'स्वदेश दर्शन 2.0' योजना के तहत यह प्रस्ताव दिया गया है, जिसका मकसद इमर्सिव डिस्प्ले और इंटरैक्टिव एग्जिबिट्स से विज़िटर अनुभव को बेहतर बनाना है। इसमें शुरुआती इंसानों के होलोग्राफिक पुनर्निर्माण, 7D इवोल्यूशन अनुभव और डायनासोर एग्जिबिट्स को अपडेट करना शामिल है। 1973 में खुला यह म्यूजियम, इसे और ज़्यादा आकर्षक और जानकारीपूर्ण बनाने के लिए लेटेस्ट टेक्नोलॉजी और रिसर्च को शामिल करते हुए अपने मुख्य विषयों को बनाए रखेगा।
