India has taken a significant step towards enhancing its naval capabilities with the indigenous AIP system's Energy Module's Setting To Work Phase-2. Developed by DRDO's NMRL, this technology allows diesel-electric submarines to stay submerged for longer durations without frequent surfacing for battery charging. This advancement makes it considerably harder for adversaries like China and Pakistan to detect these submarines at sea. The system is slated for integration into Kalvari-class submarines by early 2027.

भारत ने स्वदेशी एयर इंडिपेंडेंट प्रोपल्शन (AIP) सिस्टम के एनर्जी मॉड्यूल की सेटिंग टू वर्क फेज-2 के साथ अपनी नौसैनिक क्षमताओं को बढ़ाने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाया है। DRDO के NMRL द्वारा विकसित यह तकनीक डीजल-इलेक्ट्रिक पनडुब्बियों को बैटरी चार्ज करने के लिए बार-बार सतह पर आए बिना लंबे समय तक पानी के नीचे रहने की सुविधा देती है। इस प्रगति से चीन और पाकिस्तान जैसे विरोधियों के लिए इन पनडुब्बियों का समुद्र में पता लगाना काफी मुश्किल हो जाएगा। यह सिस्टम 2027 की शुरुआत तक कलवरी-श्रेणी की पनडुब्बियों में एकीकृत होने वाला है।
