Israeli President Isaac Herzog has accepted the certified results of the recent parliamentary elections and initiated consultations with party leaders to form a new government. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his allies lost their majority, while Arab-led parties achieved historic gains. Neither Netanyahu's coalition nor his rival's bloc secured the 61 seats needed to govern. The president will now decide whom to task with forming a government, with the possibility of another election if no one succeeds.
