Odisha Proposes 290 New EV Charging Stations To Boost Electric Mobility

Odisha has submitted a proposal to the central government seeking approval for 290 new public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across 13 cities. This initiative is part of the PM E-DRIVE scheme's second phase, aiming to strengthen the state's EV charging infrastructure. The proposed stations will be established in key urban and industrial centers, including Rourkela and Sambalpur, along with strategic highway locations. This expansion is expected to improve charging accessibility, reduce range anxiety, and encourage greater adoption of electric vehicles in the state.
