Microsoft Slashes OneDrive Storage For Family, Premium Plans; Cuts 6TB To 2TB

Times of India · technology

Microsoft is significantly reducing OneDrive cloud storage for its Microsoft 365 Family and Premium plans, moving from a 6TB total to a shared 2TB pool for up to six members. The Pro plan will now offer a shared 5TB pool. This change, effective for new subscriptions from October 8 and existing ones from May 2, 2027, means less space per user if storage is divided. While Microsoft claims this offers flexibility, users are reacting negatively, with some urging others to cancel auto-renewal.
