Bengaluru's Bengali and Gujarati communities are gearing up for spectacular Durga Puja and Dandiya celebrations from October 15 to 21. The North Bangalore Cultural Samithi will host its 49th Durga Puja with the theme 'Shatadal,' symbolizing purity and harmony. Meanwhile, the Jayamahal Cultural Association is celebrating its 72nd Durgotsav, themed 'Sabekiyana – Tradition Relived,' blending Bengali and Kannada cultural elements. Special attractions include traditional dances and food fairs, with artisans from West Bengal contributing to the Durga Pratima.
